Publications Limited produce high-quality specialist photo magazines.
Icon is a small family company, operated from offices within the family
home by founders directors David and Shirley Kilpatrick.
The current titles published by Icon are
- Photon - a monthly magazine for the working enthusiast, freelance
and professional aimed at the creative solo operator
- The Master Photographer - a monthly (10 times a year) magazine for
the professional working in the community, whether serving business
clients or the general public. Published under licence from The Master
Photographers Association
- Photo Club News - twice yearly, the official free magazine which
goes to all British camera clubs that are members of regional
Federations affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain
- Minolta Image - the quarterly official magazine of The Minolta Club
of Great Britain
In addition, Icon plans the launch of a new quarterly called
MC2
Mobile
Computing and Communications
in late 1995. MC2 will entirely about
portable computers and associated comms devices including modem, fax,
digital telephone and related issues. We are looking for case histories
from people who use such equipment in combination, preferably with
photographs, and will accept professionally written stories from
manufacturers, systems integrators and their agents. News, comment and
analysis of developments are all welcomed and fees for feature articles
are by negotiation.
We believe this to be a single identifiable field about to show
exponential growth and MC2 will be the first magazine title devoted
specifically to the synergy between the new PDAs, power laptops, input
devices, digital comms, and output devices.
