Scott Menneer, Sponsorship Manager of Tennents, said that the brewery supports sport at all levels throughout Scotland, and will fund the prizes for this professional/amateur contest for at least the next three years.
The current Scottish Sports Photographer of the Year is Ian Rutherford, of The Scotsman newspaper.
The awards, to be presented next May, also include Best Tennents Scottish Cup Picture, Best Sports Picture, Best Women in Sport Picture, Best Sport for All Picture, and Best Amateur Picture.
