Choose between the superb Contax T2 and the T-VS.
The T2, equipped with a bitingly sharp Carl Zeiss
T* Sonnar f/2.8 38mm lens, titanium body, plus creative automatic and
manual
functions, sits comfortably in your pocket to record your travels and
memories
with style and performance.
The lens aperture, which is a near perfectly circular design, delivers
extremely
sharp images throughout the lens' f2.8 to f16 operating range and the
autofocus
operation is powered by two superbly quiet micro motors. The lens retracts
completely when the camera is switched off and is concealed behind a
protective
shield which matches the smart titanium body.
For extra creativity, you can choose to focus manually, with an electronic
focus confirmation in the viewfinder.
Exposure control offers a choice between aperture priority automatic or
programmed auto exposure, with a range of two stops over or under exposure
compensation being available.
The film is held in position for exposure by a ceramic pressure plate,
which
is virtually scratch proof, deformation free and unaffected by any chemical
deterioration. The extreme flatness of the film helps to complement the
performance of the Carl Zeiss T* Sonnar f/2.8 38mm lens.
Becouse the camera may well be carried unprotected in a pocket, sapphire
galss is used in the viewfinder, to guard against marking and a sapphire
shutter release is fitted to withstand many years of wear and tear.
The titanium body is also built with durability in mind, since this is a
camera designed to last a lifetime.
The Contax T-VS
extends your creative options with the addition of the
Carl Zeiss T* Vario-Sonnar 28-56mm zoom lens - to provide results that
parallel
those of the finest single lens reflex cameras.
In many respects, the TV-S resembles the T2, having a titanium body, AE
or program exposure modes, manual or autofocus, built in falsh and highly
durable design.
The viewfinder is unusual in a compact camera, with its pentaprism design
and aspherical lenses providing a bright lifelike image, which is
particularly
easy to view. An LCD panel in the viewfinder provides exposure and focus
information for the user.
The Contax T-VS has to be regarded as the supreme compact camera for the
photographer who wants top class pictures without the weight of an SLR.
