Fits between lens and lens board, being of an open cage design the
lens aperture ring can easily be operated. Pre-load the hood with card
masks to give perfect registration of double exposures. Grades 1,2,3
& 4 multi-grade black and white filters can be flicked in and out at
the touch of a finger to allow focus and composition to be carried out
with maximum light.
Universal Rack
Allows the use of AF cameras and flashguns - the Pro 4 hood is held on
a seperate bracket, removing the need for an adapter ring and also
allowing the AF lens to spin without disturbing the hood.
Characteristics
A pin-sharp, focus-free image coupled with a soft image is placed on the
film plane with a single exposure. Minimum loss of cotrast (<12%).
Maximum color retention. Slight halation of strong highlights while
retaining detail.
Results
Improved skin tones, minimising facial hair, skin blemishes and fine
lines. Because of the pin sharp base image plus excellent contrast and
color retention, Pro 4 softs are superior to the other professional
filters and enlargements as big as the grain will allow are possible
without image deterioration. Pro 4 interactive soft filters are designed
to be used individually for a gentle softening or in pairs for a stronger
soft or to give different degrees of softness between the centre and the
edges.
Characteristics

Results
Pro 4 Low key vignette A centle vignette which concentrates the
light into the centre of the picture in the same way as an old master
painting; for weddings the long train on a bride's dress will burn
through the vignette and retain sharpness and detail while the
surrounding will be darkened. No extra exposure required.
Pro 4 High key vignette Providing gentle lightening of corners and
edges at wider apertures with progressive lighting towards the centre at
smaller apertures.
It is difficult to difficult to arrange a high-key background
successfully, there are always grey areas caused by uneven or difficult
lighting. The Pro 4 high-key vignette helps eliminate these effects by
progressive over-exposure of the background while maintaining correct
exposure of the subject. When photographing in darkened surrounds e.g.
under trees, dark interiors, inside churches, etc. the Pro 4 high-key
vignette will correct exposure on the surrounds to give a more natural
looking photograph. The centre patterns on this vignette total 1.5 stops
neutral density, so extra exposure of approximately 1.5 speed stops is
required.
