Master Photography £30 offer

At the Photovision roadshows we have offered Master Photography for just £30 – it’s normally £49.70 a year for five regular issues and the Masters of Photography Annual, or part of the MPA subscription. We’re extending this offer to all Photovision registered photographers, even if you didn’t see us at recent shows.

To get straight on to the mailing list for the latest issue just subscribe and we’ll give you the same show offer price of £30 for a full year (UK). Just select Europe/Ireland, or rest of World, for subscriptions outside the UK.

There is a brand new issue of Master due to mail NOW and it comes with a pair of 3D viewing specs as the cover, the main portfolio and story on Patrick Low, and our review of the Lytro Illum camera all are 3D printed. We’ve taken the ‘living images’ theme a bit further and included Augmented Reality (scan using the MTA-emotions AR app, a free download), MakerBot 3D printing, and a QR-code link to view our Lytro test shot as an animated focus journey…

Anthony Rew’s motorsport photography is featured (as a new Licentiate in a different discipline to most), we report on the Cherubs Roadshow Day in Hinckley last month and feature Mark Betts’ use of his chosen management software Light Blueto boost bookings . Grant Mckelvie’s Scottish regional wedding photographer of the year pictures are accompanied by a profile of his business. All the categories and entry details for the 2015/16 Master Photography Awards are released in this issue, including many open to non-members.

Steve Howdle will persuade you that even an entry-level two head flash kit can produce great results, and demonstrates his set-up using large reflectors to produce subtle and complex lighting from this. Richard Bradbury takes a similar position on economy with lenses – travelling with a single low-cost zoom.  David Kilpatrick analyses the surface and feel of 11 different lustre/pearl inkjet papers and how well they match up to true photographic materials.
